Use of Perforated metals
in the mining Industry

Perforated metals > Mining Industry

Perforated Screen Plates are widely used and recognized as superior screening surfaces and are used extensively in the aggregate and mining industries for:

Barite
Slag Plants
Phosphate Rock
Iron Ore Mines
Copper Mines
Gold and Sliver Mines
Crushed Stone Quarries
Sand & Gravel Plants
Clay, Asbestos & Gypsum
Lightweight Aggregates
Coal Preparation Plants

Advantages of Heat-Treated Perforated Screen Plate
  • Economical
The screens are heat-treated after perforating, for hardness and abrasion resistance, thus giving a very long screen life. This results in less plant shutdown time for replacements and re-tensioning, less stocking of inventory of screen and reduced costs.
  • Accuracy
Screening with these screen plates results in more accurately screened products. Perforations remain uniform and there is no stretching of the screen. There is a choice of square, round, hexagonal, slotted perforations.
  • Efficiency
As the open area of the perforated plate usually equals or exceeds the percentage of open area in wire mesh /cloth and the perforations are staggered in the direction of the flow of material this ensures greater screening efficiency.
  • Less Chance of Blinding
Perforated Screens are slightly tapered to resist blinding and plugging and are easier to patch.
